JAYOT

In 1889, at the Universal Exposition in Paris, Mister Emile JAYOT obtain his diploma of « Master of Forge ». In 1892, Emile Jayot had created an ornemental hinge industry. On the own place where Jayot is actually implanted : road « De la Gare » in Gespunsart. He became the House « Emile Jayot and Son ».

In 1898, He specialized his company in the fabrication for the first cars (evoluting with the modernisation of cars).

After the first world war, the company turn into the railway as a lot of company in Ardennes. This market arrived in maturity after the second world war and decline in the beginning of the 70s.

In 1951 , directed by M. Fernand Jayot, the company merge in december with Thome-Genot.

In november of 2003, the company in suspension of payments became in repayment of back taxes in february 2004.

In december 2006, the company JAYOT became a divison of F.A.V – L.C.A.B.

L.C.A.B

It results of a groupement in 1954 of the Forge VEZOUVE situated in CROISMARE (54300 LUNEVILLE) and of the manufactory L.C.A.B. situated in BOGNY sur MEUSE (08)

L.C.A.B. was created in 1920 by the groupement of 3 manufactory with complementary activities : on one hand Laurent OLAS and Autier BALTEAU in BOGNY sur MEUSE (workshop specialised in forge and coachwork material) and in the other hand the factory of the « Quatre Fils Aymon » bolt situated in LEVREZY.

F.A.V. is a society created in 1937 after the activity transfer of the factories CHOLLET-LEFEVBRE in Lunéville (CROISMARE) specialised in ornemental hinge.

F.A.V. take the control of L.C.A.B. in 1954 witch became a determinate fact for the future of the society.

When the activity link to the coachwork is increase, L.C.A.B had not take the automobil opportunity. The armement activity became more and more important wich give in the 60s a big development of the electric network in France.

Progessively, the activity link with electricity became predominant. It was situated next to the 70% of the turnover.

In 2003, F.A.V.-L.C.A.B. became a part of LENOIR et MERNIER.

The 7 of February 2008, LENOIR et MERNIER was in compulsory liquidation wich became a voluntary liquidation. JAYOT and F.A.V.-L.C.A.B were a part of this group

One month later, a cooperation of employee permit to JAYOT LCAB to become a new company.
